February Luncheon – Hallows & Co

Guests started arriving for the February 9th chamber luncheon at the Hampton Inn Kanab just before 11:30 AM. Chamber vice president Ron Thompson and his wife Claudia had the PA system and a delicious fried chicken lunch from Honey’s Marketplace set and ready to go, while chamber secretary Don Jennings setup the table flag, info placard, and complementary issues of the Southern Utah News.

Hallows & Co was the guest speaker for the chamber's February luncheon.

Don welcomed the 30 attendees, noting that this was the first meeting of members in 2023, and that the chamber’s rolls had increased by 30 since the Raising Kane Business Summit. The online business directory now tops 130 listings - the Kanab Area Chamber of Commerce is on the move!

Anthony White and Ladd Hallows address the room.

Ladd Hallows and Anthony White of Hallows & Co spoke to the group about tax tips for businesses and individuals, offering the company’s proven expertise along with some tax trivia – did you know that Mick Jagger studied accounting? The primary takeaway is that longtime chamber member Hallows & Co is a company with strong local ties and a track record of excellence in “full-service accounting,” including tax preparation for businesses and individuals, bookkeeping, payroll management, and more. Reach out to Hallows & Co for your business financial needs!

The next chamber luncheon will be held at Southwest Tech on March 9th from 11:30 – 1:00, where we’ll be hearing from Martha and Kevin LeBaron from While You’re in Town. Save the date!
