Ribbon Cutting and Banana Bread at Kanab Create!

An enthusiastic crowd gathered at 32 South Main St, Kanab as chamber members Kanab Create and Ron’s Fresh Baked welcomed the community to a ribbon cutting and grand opening sponsored by the Kanab Area Chamber of Commerce on March 17, 2023. About 40 people turned out to celebrate with business owners Claudia and Ron Thomas. RaeChele and Leela Alldridge of Fourth Watch Ranch even arrived at the event on horseback!

Matt Claflin, chamber treasurer, welcomed the crowd, which included Kane County Commissioners Celeste Meyeres and Wade Heaton, as well as Kanab City Manager Kyler Ludwig. Meyeres and Ludwig spoke to the crowd, both making note of the importance of small businesses to local economic development and expressing gratitude to Claudia and Ron for their work in the community.

Claudia and Ron next took a moment to share their thanks for the community’s support, noting that the studio would continue to be a warm and welcoming space for creators, makers, and families of all ages, as well as a point of sale for Ron’s amazing homemade banana bread. Their new location will be open from 11AM – 6 PM, Thursday – Monday.
