Guests started arriving for the April 13th chamber luncheon at the Best Friends Roadhouse & Mercantile just before 11:30 AM. The meeting was held in the "mercantile" section of the business, with Chamber president Pat Guerrero, vice president Ron Thompson, and treasurer Matt Claflin, setting things up before the delicious vegetarian meal provided by Best Friend's Angel Village Café. Chamber secretary Don Jennings wandered purposefully in the background taking pictures and notes for the blog and the SUN.
Pat Guerrero welcomed the 40+ attendees, announcing that Adobe Real Estate Group, iRepair, Quantum NLP, and Southern Utah News had renewed their memberships since the last meeting. New members in the last month include East Zion Resort, Grand Circle Tours, Guild Mortgage, Lotus Boutique & Studio, Loudmouth Studio, mDesign, and Stacy Cox Photography.

Julie Castle (Best Friends CEO), Julie Barger (Director, Visitor Experience), Arlyn Bradshaw (Senior Advisor, Community Relations), and Jarad Brinkerhoff (Senior Manager, Canyon Operations) addressed the crowd, accompanied by a video presentation showcasing the organization's history in Kanab, local and national programs and facilities, and partnership with Southern Utah University.
Castle noted, "It's a privilege to be here on behalf of Best Friends. The support of the local business community helps us save cats and dogs across the entire country. We simply couldn't do it without you, and we're grateful for - and very proud of - our connection to Kanab, Kane County, and Southern Utah."
