Ribbon Cutting at Sun Moon Healing

On a lovely evening in April, a group of friends and clients gathered to celebrate the recently expanded Sun Moon Healing studio, just east of town. Kanab Area Chamber vice president Ron Thomas welcomed everyone and then turned the time, and the big scissors, over to business owner Sioux Sugden and her husband Thomas.

Sioux has been working doing massage therapy for 18 years. She and Thomas moved to Kanab from Las Vegas, where she’d worked in a spa. She thanked everyone for coming to this event and told them how grateful she is to be a part of this amazing community.

Sioux takes a holistic approach to healing, with certifications in energy modalities like Reiki, Energy Medicine, Biofield Tuning, and Biomagnetic Therapy. She said that healing starts from within. Pain, injury, and illness often carry deeper imbalances rooted in past emotional and physical trauma. Sioux’s goal is to help clients understand and reconnect with their bodies so they can heal at the deepest level.

Once the ribbon was cut, everyone shared in the delicious refreshments and toured the various rooms that make up this healing spa. The ribbon cutting gathering was later followed by a star party with Stellar Vista Observatory.
